The Mutoh XpertJet 661UF is our UV-LED flatbed printer — the machine that lets us print full color directly onto a rigid or flexible object instead of printing to vinyl and applying it. No lamination, no transfer step, no wrapping a surface that was never designed to be wrapped.
What it's built to do
The 661UF has a 19.02" x 23.39" flatbed and can handle materials up to 5.91" thick, thanks to automatic table height adjustment and a vacuum bed that holds thin or lightweight pieces flat and steady during the pass.
It runs a CMYK + White + Varnish ink configuration. The white lays down an opaque base so color prints true on dark or clear substrates, and the varnish can be built up in layers for raised texture, spot gloss, or tactile ADA-style Braille — all in the same pass, thanks to Mutoh's Local Dimming Control, which mixes gloss, semi-gloss, and matte finishes on one piece. Resolution runs up to 1440 dpi.
Where it fits into a job
Direct printing on acrylic, wood, PVC, metal, glass, and other rigid panels
Awards, nameplates, and dimensional or backlit logos
Braille and ADA-compliant signage
Short-run packaging prototypes and specialty décor pieces
If a job needs color and texture on an object rather than on a roll of vinyl, this is the machine that handles it.
